BEYOND THE CODE

I build and maintain production commerce platforms across Magento 2 Open Source, PHP 8, Hyvä, integrations and data workflows. My work covers backend development, storefront delivery, upgrades, security patching and production investigation.

Off the desk, I balance demanding software engineering with endurance and OCR training. That challenge inspired me to build Ferrokinetic—a deterministic-first training and recovery product for my own endurance and Spartan/OCR training.

Production Payment & Reindex Failure

Investigated recurring customer payment failures that surfaced through a third-party reindex path during purchase processing.

>INVESTIGATION: Traced the failure through Magento indexing, catalog persistence and database state

>ROOT CAUSE: Identified an integer capacity limit in a catalog relation identifier that caused reindex and product-save failures

>FIX: Authored and deployed a managed Magento/Composer patch using a larger integer type

>RESULT: The recurring production failure stopped after the fix

>NOTE: AI-assisted exploration helped accelerate hypothesis generation and unfamiliar code-path analysis; the root cause and fix were validated against logs, application code, database state and production behaviour.
